Lexington Kentucky is the home of the University of Kentucky and holds the title as the horse capital of the world. With its rich equine history, many of the best known products like tobacco, bourbon and horse racing seem to imply that Lexington is a wild west sort of town with little culture, however the opposite is true. Lexington has a rich history in education and appreciation for the arts and has earned a reputation for hosting high-society events. Throughout the 1800’s and early 1900’s Lexington attracted many businesses seeking an educated individuals for their workforce and leadership.
During the early 1900’s the Lexington economy expanded and business and housing development quickly grew. Lexington became the second largest city in the state with Louisville the only city larger. This growth attracted many manufacturers to the area and transportation became an important business for Lexington. Many car dealers were opened during this period and some the biggest names in the automobile business had dealerships in the area. Chevrolet, Dodge, Chrysler and Ford all had car dealers in Lexington selling new and used car and trucks.

The United States has so many freedoms and Liberties that are under attack daily. Acts like this cause many lawmakers to push new laws to keep Americans safe but fail to realize that we must live with some risks and all threats can not be addressed by law.
